Growing up, I spent many a days in two different libraries. I would attend reading groups and then wander amongst the hundreds of books where my lover for reading and storytelling developed. IN my home town, there was an awesome public library that looked like an ancient Roman or Greek building.
Not only would we play football on the open fields of the library, we would then go in, mud and all, to roam the aisles of the library. It was weird, you would've a group of rowdy kids who were just trying to kill each other on the field but as soon as we stepped foot into the massive foyer of the library, we were as quiet and respectful as we could be. There were two places we feared getting into trouble. First was the police and second was the library.
